DHS have been able to offer reduced rates for 2009, due to our ongoing commitment to providing quality survey instruments at affordable prices. DHS has been able to pass these savings onto our valued customers.
DHS New Services
- Surface read out wedge and motor orientation, providing our clients with the full capabilities of our Oilfield INS north seeking gyro.
- Introduction of a new steerable core barrel drilling service, providing core whilst directional drilling and improving directional drilling productivity.
- Directional drilling planning and management services.
- Borehole Radar acquisition services, adding value to drill holes by imaging up to 60m away from the drill hole.
Survey Instrument Options
Electronic Multishot (EMS)
With an accuracy of 0.3 degrees in Azimuth and 0.3 degrees in dip, the EMS uses the earth’s magnetic field to produce directional data in open holes and PVC cased holes. Surveys are conducted in 2 - 5m intervals. This tool is ideal for open hole applications or through the diamond drill bit, and is also used for the surveying of underground blast holes.
GyroSmart™
The simplest to use, yet most technically advanced, miniature Digital Gyro survey system available. The GyroSmart™ represents decades of innovative development in borehole surveying systems. GyroSmart™ is not affected by ground magnetic, and accurately measures displacement in Azimuth and Inclination from a reference mark that can be transferred to the collar of the drill hole. Surveys are conducted in 5m intervals, with accuracy of 0.2 degrees in inclination and 0.3 degrees in azimuth.
Multishot North Seeking Gyro
The tool measures directly the earth’s rotation, finding the geographical true north. This makes it more accurate than alternative tools which are based on indirect measurement methods. This system is claimed to be accurate to ±1° in azimuth, with a repeatability of 0.5° in azimuth. Surveys are conducted in 10m intervals.
INS High Speed North Seeking Gyro (INS)
The INS uses modern strapped-down gyros and accelerometers adopted from aerospace applications and are used extensively in the oil industry. In conjunction with advanced signal processing techniques this rugged package provides unparalleled performance for all bore hole environmental conditions. Surveys can be conducted continuously at up to 60m per minute, dramatically reducing rig downtime. The INS has an accuracy of 0.1 degrees in inclination and 0.5 degrees in azimuth.
